Good morning all, so my husband is from the philippines. I know biometric is now required for most asia country. On his gckey account there is a spot for biometric etc but we never gotten a request. Should we just go ahead and pay the fee and do his biometric or should we wait for the request ?!

You filed your application in December 2018 and biometric information is only requested for Asian applicants starting Jan 1, 2019. So you don't need to provide biometrics unless it is explicitly required by IRCC.

If you are sponsor, it is not a problem at all. If you are PA, it is best to avoid travelling abroad while your application is in process.

If you applied outland it doesn't matter, applicant or sponsor (unless sponsor is not a citizen) can travel as much as they want.

I am a PR and i am working for a canadian company.

If the clinic uses eMedical then 2-3 days.

Hey. We called CIC today to ask why our application is taking so long and they told my husband that they are still on the October 9th and havent gotten to the December applicants yet. This forum suggests otherwise. I am not sure what to do now other than wait lol

Call center gives out misinformation all the time, take it with a grain of salt.

Not sure whether PA passed or not as I hired a representative and I don’t have access to GCKey. Couple of questions:

Will ‘medicals passed’ be updated on ecas ?

Would there be an email for AOR2 or an update on ECAS?

How would I know the visa office where the file has been transferred to? Would this be on ECAS or AOR2?

What is the average timeline from medicals recovered to AOR2?
