Hello ,
I have some questions in regards to Spouse Sponsorship
1. I am a PR in Canada and my spouse from India recently came on a visitor visa and we wish to apply for here PR through spouse sponsorship.
What is the difference between Outland and Inland application?
Do I need to apply Inland application as my spouse is in Canada?

Also in the document checklist , they have asked for a government issued ID with the same address for my spouse and I .
I live in Alberta and Alberta Registry does not issue the drivers license on visitor visa
I can't think of any other government based ID for my spouse?
Also is it a good idea to submit the OPEN Work Permit application along with it

Thank you!

Has any knows that if the case belongs to Etobicoke or mississaga office, already have the DM on Ecas, how long would take to have the landing interview appointment?

Hi, May 7th applicant here. We got AIP on Jan 24th, SA on Jan 25th and DM on sponsor's side on Jan 28th.
No news after that, ECAS still shows "in process" for PA and myCIC says background check is in progress.
Is this delay normal? We called CIC more than week ago and the officer actually said that everything was concluded (including background checks), only DM missing. He also said that we should expect an answer within less than a week, but this didn't happen either. We were puzzled to hear that backgrounds were done, while myCIC shows the opposite information.
Would you guys suggest contacting them again? It seems to us that most people get DM on both sides very shortly after AIP/SA, but it's taking way longer for us.
Hi, I am in the same situation as you, My application was received on May 8th. We have received an DM on sponsor's side and letter recently but nothing on PA side. It is still in progress for eligibility requirement and background check. I am very worried. Please advise when you have an update.

Thank you, I think I've got the idea about Etobicoke timeline but Mississaga. Because we were planning to go travelling on May, so I just hope by that time I could get my PR card, otherwise we have to rescheduled our vacation time from work.

Woke up this morning with Decision Made on both sides on ECAS. I have a representative so I can’t access GcKey. My application was received on May 25 and the office is Mississauga. And I’m not American neither British.
My question is what’s next? I have no clue. Thank you!!

Ask your rep to confirm that they received: AIP, SA, and DM letter. After these three letters, wait for the landing interview invitation, which is also a letter.
