I got my landing interview letter by email today 18th dec 2018. and its scheduled for 27th december 2018 (At the Niagara Falls IRCC)
A bit weird as the last email from them with decision made said that the Etobicoke IRCC would contact me with the schedule, now its gonna be a 160km ride for me instead of 40km
Nevertheless
I am happy that Finally I got my schedule.. and I am going to be a PR soon.
Thank you to each and everyone out here who kept posting updates, that helped me a lot !
Congrats to all those receiving DM!
Here's my situation:
March 26th Applicant
OWP Received in July
Passed Medical
Background Check currently 'In Progress'
Today I received an email from mycic with a letter requesting a Police Clearance Certificate from the RCMP.
When I submitted the original application, I provided this Police Clearance upfront, so I already have a clearance dated from February 2018. I have since moved to a new address from when I submitted the original Police Checks which I assume is why they are asking for a new check.
The problem is, I am currently outside of Canada visiting family due to a seriously ill family member (my mother), so I cannot get the new police check completed in person until I am back in Canada.
They have given me one month to complete the police certificate, so I need to get this into IRCC by January 17th, 2019. My intention was to stay with my partner and family out of Canada until the 1st of February, 2019.
Here is my question, do you think it is better for me to cut the trip short and get back to Canada so I can provide this new police certificate within the time frame they have requested?
Or, do you think it would be okay to ask for an extension of this document via mycic so I can spend more time with my family during a very difficult period?
I am concerned about asking for the extension since I know it is already a risk to leave Canada while the In-land PR app is being processed, so I don't want to draw extra attention to that and jeopardize the application. However, I was wondering if other applicants have asked for a similar extension with no issues, or, considering the circumstances, if this would be a reasonable extension to ask for?
Lastly, since I already completed the police check with the RCMP in February, would it be possible to send the original police check and fingerprints since technically I have already submitted that document? Or will the change in address since then make that original check void?
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks very much!
Come in the March inland group for discussion. But if I was you, I will cut the trip short and be back in the country to submit your clearance ASAP. You do not want any further delays nor inform them that your out of the country as that could cause problems and unnecessary delays. All the best!

There’s a March group? I’m a March 2nd applicant lol but I haven’t had any updates since my background check
Medical will be after OWP, see my signature for my timeline.
Thank you!

Landed this morning in Edmonton!
It was very fast. When we got there, we were 15th in line and figured we'd be there for hours, but it seemed to be about 5 minutes per person so we were done very quickly. They ask the usual couple of questions (have you committed crimes, been denied entry or asked to leave Canada, and if you have any undeclared dependents) and that's that.
Immediately went to Service Canada to get my new SIN, went to a registry to update my healthcare (my current healthcare number won't change, they'll just send me a new card that doesn't have an expiry date), and went to my bank to update my new SIN with them.
All in all, a busy but very successful day. Now just waiting for the card in the mail.

Anyone know why the last email I received from CIC said Etobicoke office would communicate for the landing interview schedule, however my landing interview got scheduled to happen at Niagara and not Etobicoke. Am curious if anyone here has an idea about this.
Hi i am Feb 21 applicant and here is my time line

SA-18th DEC
Both side DM on ECAS- 14th Dec
After that i didn't hear anything from CIC
I want to go out for Xmas vacation with my wife and i have valid work permit and TRV.
Will there be any issue if i travel before landing interview ?
or if i receive my landing interview while i am outside Canada ,can i land at international border?
