I sent in my OWP app with my sponsorship but the whole application got sent back with LUCKILY a kind note from an officer telling me that if I am out of status and submit for OWP they will most likely reject my WHOLE sponsorship application and it would be better to wait it out. So that is what I did since I was out of status and didnt want my sponsorship rejected. I worked under the table and babysat for a friend instead when she took temporary jobs around christmas.
I also plan to work with children here in Canada. Now that I have my PR I can look forward to fulfilling the requirements for daycare work
Wow! thanks for responding Hinax. All the very best for the future!
Congratulations...can you please share your timeline?

Congrats! You're just waiting for a landing interview now, which depending on where your office would be, could take from a few days to over a month. The letter usually comes in an email, or on CIC but also some people have got it in their mail, again this depends on the office too.
Just updating to all of us incase you dont follow Facebook group, Feb inland applicants have started getting AIPs.
Let's hope our turns come soon!! Fingers crossed!!!!

Hi everyone!
We successfully landed in the Etobicoke office today!! Great experience- our appointment was at 10am, we got there about 930am, they took us in at 945am, and we were all finished by 10am!
They asked us the standard questions; when did you enter Canada last, are you still willing to sponsor etc. We provided our proof of payment for the permanent residency fee, PR photo and proof of address/passports.
We had a super nice officer. We also got my finance's new SIN number right after.
Timeline is below. Thank you to everyone for being so supportive on this forum. It helped tremendously to have a community like this while going through such a stressful process!
Good luck to everyone
I just happened to check ESCA, it showed DM on applicant side!!
I just logged in to check the status on ecas and it has also changed to DM on applicant side! Finally!
I’m an end of feb applicant! Has anyone else had there additional documents changed from uploaded to now not applicable? It was my police checks and schedule A? It seems odd to me

Hi everyone!
Happy new year
I am new to this forum, but find it a very helpful resource. I have been reading the 2017 spousal sponsorship updates thread and didn't see a thread started for those submitting 2018 spousal applications. Hoping I can share any updates and also hear from others.
My common-law partner (from Australia) and I have submitted our application on January 2nd, received by the processing centre on January 3rd.
Wishing luck to everyone
Congratulations!! Can you share your experience today during your landing interview? Do you have to go to canadian border?

I am Feb 14 applicant. Mine still says reviewing additional documents. It just changed a date in sep for date submitted on my application to Sep 23, 2018. Rest is still the same .

Feb 8th here. Nothing since medical passed - still just processing the background check.
I’m curious... since you had to submit additional documents, what does it say in your background check? Is it still processing, or is that where it says they’re reviewing additional documents?
Hey guys!
I logged in to ECAS today and when I go to my sponsor DM, it says they sent us the correspondence regarding the decision of the application on November 21st, but he didn't receive an email... Can it be in the mail then? I also have no update on my side, the last thing that says is "medical results have been received on <date>". Online application has no update either. My bf got an email that he is eligible to be a sponsor, but he got it on November 20th. I am confused!! Help!!
