Having question regarding sponsor employment update. I didn't submit my employer letter since I didn't have job at that time, however explanation letter submitted with application sent. Should I provide my employer letter now since this is getting closer? BTW I am Feb app. My lawyer told me no as cic will ask you to bring proof for landing interview. Please advise, appreciate your help
Hello, based on the CIC online information (see copied/pasted info below), I did go ahead an updated CIC/IRCC regarding my new job (principal applicant, March applicant) by uploading a scanned copy of my job offer letter, first payroll stub, and a brief note explaining that I have recently started a new job and will provide a job letter as soon as I complete my probationary period at work.
CIC responded to me via email that they have received my update and documents.
I think that it helps your application whenever you provide positive updates, such as new employment, and it provides them with an update regarding what you submitted in your original application regarding your work history.
Copied/Pasted online info: How can I update or ask about an IRCC application in progress?
If your application is already in progress, use the Client Application Status (CAS) service. This service lets you view the status of your immigration and/or citizenship application online.
Every application is different. Check the email you put down for sponsor. (Check spouses email account.) My spouse received his AIP through his email instead of mine. They might send it sometime soon though. Either way, that is DM for you! I got the same letter. I'm just waiting on the office to send me a date and time to show up and land basically now. It is good news!
The PA recieves the AIP. DM is the final decision being made which means your application is approved!! Which also means that both you and sponsor have recieved approval
Congratulations!

Ahhh, thanks Niama. My husband was out of status for a long time unfortunately. Just over here having faith that they will grant the OWP soon. It has been almost 7 months since we've applied. Passed the medical almost 2wks ago.

7 months and still no OWP? Hmm... I got my after 4-5months. But I did send the OWP application in together with the application for PR.
But are you saying that your husband is actually out of status? Has he applied for an extension/restoration? I think if you’re out of status while applying for OWP, you will not be able to get it. So if your husband fell out of status, he should have applied either for an extension or restoration - or even just a new visitor visa, whichever would apply to him. Otherwise I’m afraid to say that he might never see that OWP.

Yea if he applied and being out of status over the 90 day limit and didn’t apply for restoration, he will get the work permit only after the PA approval (AIP) which is usually the last stage of the whole process. And would probably land shortly after being a PR. I would ask for a refund since it’s usually pointless.

We applied for the OWP with the sponsorship app. Restoration of stat included. Well, I suppose we'll just have to see. Thanks for responding
