You need to report to them so they know what is going on with you and so you show good faith. Normally this tends to be after the refugee claim is denied and CBSA wants to remove the person however the person now has applied through another stream either humanitarian/compassion or spousal application.

I still say if you first filed for refugee and then met someone and got married you should abandon and submit spousal application.

I'm same situation I'm refugee claim since 2012 I didn't get any hearing date I got married my wife sponsored me I got eligibility decisio and my wife too so for right now I didn't see anything wrong
I think you will have two file it's not problem and even my refugee lawyer told me don't worry you can send your application without withdraw your refugee case

Landed at Ottawa yesterday, went smoothly and took less than 20 mins. There is no service Canada/Ontario at the Ottawa office so if you're landing there then you need to go get your SIN and healthcard elsewhere.

But in the case of my wife, they really took and kept all her study permit (expired and current).

My application received Aug.23.2016,medical and marriage certificate requested early June and sent them already.Nothing heard yet.When is your landing?

The wife's dog is soo funny... He is cracking me up.

I came home early to pick my son up from daycare. So this little dog (Pomeranian) is huffing, puffing, sneezing and growling this big dog gravelly growl to voice his displeasure that I am not petting him. He also has this dance of 3 steps forward, 3 steps back to make you notice him.
