Hi
I will like to find out more information as I am about to sponsor my Husband in land

My husband is here on a visitor visa and we got married on the 5th December 2015 in Toronto. His visitor Visa is valid until November 2016. We have just received our marriage certificate and will like to find out the following

We are about to apply for sponsorship and the open work permit for him and I will like to get some helpful information.

- How long does it take for us to receive an open work permit so he can start working
- In the mean time can her do voluntary work while waiting for it
