Hi guys, here's my timeline for SP extension. I know that the waiting times have been way longer over the last few months, so for those who are still waiting, I hope this post can calm you a bit.
Background: Solo Applicant
Applied on: October 7th
Submission Confirmation: October 7th
Correspondence Letter: December 2nd
Approved (updated on account): December 3rd
No approval letter yet
I have a question about visitor visa application that I would like to ask everyone. My current visitor visa will expire on December 31, 2024 and I want to renew it as soon as my SP is approved. However, I do not know if applying for a visitor visa within Canada can be valid for 10 years or its validity will be based on the expiration date of the study permit. If the validity can be up to 10 years, how should I answer in the questionnaire of visitor visa application to get a new biometrics? Because my biometrics will expire in February 2028 and I may not get a visitor visa with the full 10-year validity.
Thanks to everyone who reads and responds to this post and good luck to everyone who is waiting for results )
I've been waiting for more than six months for my daughter's SP and my VR extension.
My agent submitted the application, which was accepted on May 24th, 2024. This is the only timeline shown in the Application Status and Messages. The agent keeps calling IRCC to expedite it, but no help. I also called IRCC, but the answer is the same.
Are there still any late May applicants? Is my application taking so long because my daughter is a minor?
Does anyone recently applied for TRV and approved?
If yes, approximately how much money do we need to show in the bank statement for the TRV application?
Guys, do we need physical copy of Study permit to get our SIN number or we can do it by showing our online approval letter? My application is approved but because of Canada Post strike I am not able to get my physical copy..
This is what I did: I submitted my study permit extension application in June. I got my official letter in September after my study permit expired, then I immediately submitted my PGWP application but I couldn't work for 2 months till both of them were approved. The PGWP was approved same time with the study extension. Also, In my PGWP application, I included a letter explaining that I was on maintained status and have just completed my studies, you can do same if your extension is not approved at that time.
In my case, I chose "other" status and noted that I am on maitained status as student . From the day after my Sp expried and I left the "to date" blank
