Thanks for your reply @kaka2. I think I have to wait for the approval of the extension as it won't be possible before 28-29th Dec. Kindly let me know why you think its a good idea to wait for approval of my extension. You also said, "I'm just sharing the lessons I learnt from my own experience". If its okay for you can you share your experience?
This is what I did: I submitted my study permit extension application in June. I got my official letter in September after my study permit expired, then I immediately submitted my PGWP application but I couldn't work for 2 months till both of them were approved. The PGWP was approved same time with the study extension. Also, In my PGWP application, I included a letter explaining that I was on maintained status and have just completed my studies, you can do same if your extension is not approved at that time.
Submission - 20th Sept
Ghost email - 20th Sept
Additional doc request - 26th Nov
BVL Letter - 29th Nov
Approved - Dec 2 ( without any email)
Periods - 2 months & 12 days.
It's been a tough time with a lot of tension and anxiety.
Good Luck everyone! Hopefully, you will get your approval soon!
Have patience and pray for it.
I did not know that this was possible. I thought you as an applicant were entitled to ask for withdrawal. I suggest you to call to IRCC asap maybe you were requested some information that you missed the due and they could still help you. Or you can hire an Immigration lawyer, it might be worthy as you are here already. You are not giving more details so at least is what I would do. Don’t give up!

Usually, they update the file the following day. In most cases, I’ve noticed that they make a decision after issuing the correspondence letter. They might be verifying something in your documents.
