Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
My wife is 3 months pregnant, due in August 2012 and we did our medical a month ago and waiting for PPR.
If we get the visa by May, we might manage to land and get the OHIP by the time of the delivery, but we might be pushing our luck.
If the visa was delayed, then she will have to deliver the new baby in our home country.
What are the consequences if we do that?
Should we
1. inform our VO prior to PPR about my wife's pregnancy,
2. or wait till we receive our PPR then inform them?
3. Or wait until she delivers then Inform them?

I don't want delay our process at this stage, at the same time I would like to know what are my options if we have our child in our home country after PPR is issued(before landing)can we add our new born without sponsoring him and causing any delays to our process?

Any help or feedback on this subject is highly appreciated

Regards
Guss

Hi Guss,

You need to inform them only after the child is born.
Since she's 3 months pregnant, long way to go.

If you receive your PR within a month and you flying straightaway,
Then there is no need to notify them. Incase you planning to leave after the child's birth, then you have to notify them about the newborn. Anyway, please let me know when you receive your PR. Cheers!

Anywa

Thanks Anywa
Yes that's the plan still waiting for PPR at the moment.
Hopefully we receive it early enough.

VO will see your wife's pregnancy from your medical report anyway either you tell them or not since she was 2 months pregnant at the time of examination. The Medical examination is comprehensive enough to show that. All things been equal your PPR will get to you in couple of months...All the best

Thanks Oly,
You are correct, but I was told by Medical Examiner, that the Medical tests has nothing to do with the immigration department, as long as you pass all the tests, then the process is continued normally through my VO.
The Doctor did mention the pregnancy on my wife's report, but the immigration department shouldn't make a decision based on that.
Still waiting, It seems It's kind of late anyway, so won't be able to have the child in Canada, will have to wait and add the new born to application at later stage I guess :(
Thanks anyway :)

I believe all will work out fine. Alot is changing with CIC nowadays, seems people dn't have to wait too long again after Medicals so be positive...

hey, i wonder whether it is good or not for the baby-to-be when your wife did the Medical while pregnancy???
Why didnt the doctor tell you about the Xray which may cause some effects on the baby???

It has No effect. She used a shield as well . The new X-ray machines has zero effect without the shield.
