Who got approval with IELTS General

I would like to know, who of you has got the visa approved with IELTS General under SDS category.

I would be applying again for my visa, and I am confused because I want to give IELTS General which could be used for both study permit application and express entry profile, while some people say to give IELTS Academic reason they mention is that there are low chances of approval with IELTS General.

Thats not true. IELTs General is also recognized and give you same chance as Academic. The difference is depending whether your College or Uni accept General or Academic

All depends on your school,

I didn't even have to give IELTS at all.

I dont think there is that explaination in any of the refusal letter, that we reject because you did General test... so until then its just speculation

I didn't even have to give IELTS at all.

For SDS, IELTS is mandatory. There is no question about school/DLI. I have LOA.

They can't specify rejection being General IELTS, because that would go against the laws of IRCC. But since most of the assessment is subjective, so VO might not be very impressed with a General IELTS.

There is no question about school but IRCC. My DLI settled with Duolingo.

For studying, they (both VO and College/Uni) prefer Academic one more than General.
My wife is applying for SP and she took both Academic and General (and uploaded both certificates) while I am applying for SOWP so I took General only. You might consider that also. Wish you luck mate!

Wont help and thats not necessary. If School needs Academic, then do academic. Immigration accepts both. Simple logic guys

You cannot know if the refusal was because of IELTS, but its easy to see if the general IELTS worked for an applicant.
