Application approved - 2nd july
GC key showing - we mailed your PR card .it may take 6 weeks to arrive .

Thanks for letting us know about the call that you made to CIC. I was also thinking of calling them. Since you presented the picture of the current situation in the CIC, I refrain from calling.

I submitted a webform on 01 July 2020 asking for an update. Today I got a reply quoting that the 'PR card application is in process and will finalize the application as soon as possible. And, they are still working in photo retake requests received before Feb 06, 2020. They are functioning only with critical staff and that is why majority of processing is delayed. So let us expect some good news very soon.

Excuse my French but this is BS. That’s the same status as from a month ago.

They are clearly not processing PR cards, at least at the main office which is supposed to be Sydney. Some smaller offices that are meant for inland applicants are functional, they have issued PR cards in June, but this is more like an exception to the rule, me thinks.

they are not processin anything at all, some EE applications and nothing else.

There are a lot of Paper Based applications that did not receive any update for the last 4 months.

I was requested to send a copy of the passports before the lock down and still i am waiting.

They are processing PR Cards - I know of people who have received theirs.

They seem to be processing it for those who sent their photos to smaller IRCC offices like Windsor, Etobicoke, Niagara.

The bigger IRCC offices do not seem to be processing any cards..it's very frustrating and makes no sense.

Some people are getting theirs within 3 weeks, others are waiting months.

Absolutely true mate. It is very frustrating to wait without any update for months.
