Hi Folks, I Got PPR today! Case received by cpp on Oct 1 2012. Med completed on July 12 2013. My son was born in June this year and we added him to our case right after the officer requested any prove for our marriage.
I am wondering if we can book the air tickets before we got the Visas mailed back to us. Should we book the tickets one month from now? I think it should be okay...otherwise I will need to change our tickets...

Nope, no reply from CIC. The clinic said that they upload the results right away in the same day or the day after. When you logged into MY CIC, there should be an update on their site. I think it shouldn't be long for you to get PPR. GOOD LUCK.
Awesome - Yahoo7. I'm sure you guys, including Pckummar, will get a response back in 3-5 days time. And if this was the first time you wrote an email to cpp-ottawa and dont get a response, write back after a week.
Don't be too unhappy... please try to consider some other applicants that have been stuck in this process for MUCH longer than you. I realize that this is very frustrating, however, it is frustrating on a systemic scale. For example, my application was received in February of 2012.... Keep your head up and simply try not to think about it.
When looking at your timeline, it seems that they received your application in June 2012. My application was received in February 2012. The delays that are occurring with some of our applications are solely caused by the background and security checks that are performed by a 3rd party agency. Keep in mind, extensive travel history, residences in other countries, and/or military backgrounds will greatly increase your timeline. The anachronistic nature of the approvals of these applications are simply part of the process... believe you me, it is extremely frustrating to read fellow applicants receiving their PPR's during the past two months when considering that their PR application was received up to 6 months AFTER mine!!!! So, your timeline barely totals 14 months... all in all, this is still quite reasonable.

Oh I am not really complaining to be honest. It really doesn't make a difference at the end of it. I am already in Canada and am already working. My work permit is still good for one more year and if I don't get it before then, BOWP is there to help out. It would be nice to get this process over with though.
I just carry on with my life, every now and then look at forum and say "good for you" when I see everyone else getting their PR and carry on again.
I have said it before in this forum and I will say it again, no news is good news when dealing with CIC.
