Hi Guys!
This may be a silly question, however, what is PPR? You said you received an email for PPR and then an email to issue your Visa?
Can someone explain the last steps of the process?
Also, once the VO sends you an email to issue your Visa, how long does it normally take if you send your passport to Vienna by mail and have it returned to you?

PPR is PassPort Request that is when they ask you to send them your passports to stamp visas in them. You can either send them by mail or you can go in person for same day service. If you send it by mail it can take up to 2 or 3 weeks `till you get them back
I have noticed that many offices are a lot more active than Vienna... I am just dissapointed as how Canada claims that their priority is to bring families together, yet, the most important family members (spouses) - sponsorship takes quite a while... especially when you know that some people receive their visas within couple of days of AOR and others have to wait a lot longer, even if their circumstances are the same....
anyway, keeping my fingers crossed!
happy weekend everyone
Good job lucky rain with spreadsheet. Can you please update my details? Thank you.
11Oct2011 - Application received by CIC
26Oct2011 - E-mail from CIC saying they received our app.
15Dec2011 - Sponsorship approved
06Jan2012 - AOR
18Jan2012 - "In process"
I really wish to hear some good news!!!Anybody? Something?
Congrats WhiteChoko!!!! OMG that was quick! if my timeline is like yours, there's a decent chance the PPR would land right on our anniversary, which would be cool.. but sooner is fine with me I can not imagine how happy you must have been to read that email Tell us what it was like to pick up the passport!! I am so curious what goes on.
Congrats WhiteChoko!!!!
When did you apply? I guess you did it outland?
I'm curious too.
While you're in Vienna, have lunch at the famous Fuglmuller restaurant, delicious chicken schnitzel with potato salad
