I get used to it I guess... but we are tired, enough is enough...
It's 5 weeks after redoing my medicals, waiting for PPR any day but still can't believe it is close...I'm kind of indifferent and numb but it will go away soon ;D
someone told me that if you have to re-do your medicals or pay for RPRF that can delay your papers for about 2 months and I paid my RPRF when they sent me AOR , so I guess I have to wait a bit longer too
I am a newbie here. Glad to see that there is a Vienna forum, although I must admit, it is a little depressing seeing how long the process has taken a couple of people to come to Canada! Gemini recommended I join Gemini, I received your PM but for some reason it doesn't allow me to respond. I applied to CPC Mississauga on Jan. 23 and now waiting anxiously! My husband is in Serbia and I keep worrying because he did not do the Medical Exam in advance. I read that the visa office requests it. After reading everyone's posts, I see everyone did it in advance and now it will probably take an additional 2 months delay because of this! Argh!!
You need at least 10 posts on this forum to be able to send private messages.
I don't know about the medical but he will have to do it eventually. One cannot land without valid medical. He supposed to do it prior sending the application to Mississauga.
At DMP after medical exam they give you copy of your medical file and you join that form with the rest of your application and send it to Mississauga.
Now you can't do anything until you get approved. When Mississauga send your file to Vienna, visa office will contact your husband and send him a letter of confirmation that they received your file. At that point visa office will probably ask him to do his medical or it will be at the end of process. In that letter he will have his client ID and you will be able to refer to that number in your email inquiries.
Thank you for the info! I think what I'll get my husband to do is book a doctor's appointment in the meantime and have them complete and send it off to London. By the time our application gets to Vienna, at least it will be done and we won't have to wait on Vienna to request it (which will delay matters).
Serg, I noticed you have been waiting quite a long time for your Canadian PR; was the main reason your military background?
DMP sends full medical results to London not you (DMP gives you copy of report).
You will have to wait for Vienna anyway cause he doesn't have client ID number and file number yet. If you send them copy of your medical report before your file arrives in Vienna they will not be able to join that copy with your application. Try to contact Vienna, explain your situation and ask for advice what to do. Here's the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/vienna.asp

Yes my military background was the only reason why this process takes more time for me. I wrote about it at the beginning of this topic.
For routine cases it's around 6 months in total for Vienna.
Bobbi- please make sure you use an approved Dr, not just ANY Dr can do it. Info is on the CIC website...my husband went to one in Belgrade and got an appointment very quick. I can give you the name tomorrow if that helps
Thank you for the info! I have the DMP names and numbers. I think I'll call the VO and ask them what's the best and fastest way of doing this, since our application is already submitted.
Is everyone here living in Canada, while their spouses are in Serbia?
Bobbi, my husband booked with Tamara and got an appointment within a few days and it cost him 135 Euro and it took approx. 3 hours for everything.
I am living in London, UK to be closer to Serbia while we wait through this whole process Where are you?
Gemini- Yes, that's the DMP doctor I contacted and she said that he only needs to book an appointment a few days in advance. Thanks for the additional info
I'm living in Canada. He's in Sweden, currently. That's great that you were able to re-locate!! Makes things much easier when you're on the same continent! Not to mention, cheaper airfare When did you send your application to CPC-Missisauga? Also, we only receive an email once they've processed our (the sponsor) section correct? Until then we wait, right?
Thanks!
