Thanks again Doda, appreciate if you or anyone else can answer these 2 questions:
1) What does HIRV mean?
2) What does 'Due Date' mean?
not sure about HIRV ( i think it has something to do with criminaliy or security).
due date should be the date your application will be brought forward to the egent it was assigned to for further processing.

1.
HIRV-
Human and International Rights Violation
2.
Due Date-
It is the date that the file will be looked at again, assessed, reviewed by your case handling officer then will check if anything is lacking, any further queries to be made, any documents to be asked or if any decisive action is to be made/taken. Basically it serves as a 'Reminder Tool' to the case processing officer & that your file is not 'forgotten'.

Do they really process application when due date is reached or they just update the due date ?

sometimes they just update the due date
My latest GCMS notes said due date was Jan 2016, but April is about to end. So good luck to me.

Hi @prcand, thanks for sharing your experience. Given what you have said Im also expecting another 3-4 months wait. I'm at least hoping that having applied for it I will at least be successful in getting my BOWP as my Open Work Permit expires on 26 June.
Also what's your category?

I have ordered 2 GCMS notes before on my 1st EE application and it has multiple due dates as I mentioned earlier it only served as a Reminder Tool to case processing officers.

Did you seen anything changes after the due date?
And would you share why your 1st app was rejected?

Interestingly, our GCMS notes look exactly the same, including the Due date. I've stopped considering the due date as a factor cos i have applied for my gcms notes a couple of times now out of curiosity and each time, the only noticeable changes had been to the due date, without anything of note happening to my file on that date. Fingers crossed though, hopefully PPR is around the corner! ;D ;D ;D
What really they check under Security? I should not have any problem with security but probably this is what delaying my PPR. All other things are passed......even in GCMS noted it is mentioned, Final: Approved.

IRCC sends a request to CSIS to investigate your background related to national security issues. I.e. Espionage and terrorism. As CSIS send request to all the countries local authorities you loved in, that's why it takes much time.
