Rather silly question.
How long does the security take.
My file is at LVO since 17.2. and their next due date is on 18.3.
My LVO is Vienna in Europe.
No one knows how long security takes. The only way to know for sure is when you get your gcms notes and it shows security passed or completed.

Hi Guys.
What does " I " next to security mean ?
Crim: Passed
Medical : Passed
Eligibility: met
Security: I
Thank You
I am sure the one is just numbering.
In the days of caips notes before gcms, 1 meant passed or completed.
IMO in gcms notes, It is nothing but just numbering.

My last notes have security started 17.1. (even if it was listed as not started, but that is when it was put there), but I did not see any additional mark in the top right corner, so it is still ongoing.
I will see if there is any progress in my next notes.
In other thread you were talking about some manual for immigration officers, where do you have such info from?
Thank you

Yea probably in your next notes.
Yes. training manual for Cic immigration officers.
You can find it on the internet.
It's a 600 pages long documentation.
Although outdated but still useful.

Probably they had "In Progress" written there and when they cut it out (which they are supposed to do to hide the status of security check from your GCMS notes) they cut out "n Progress" and forgot to cut out the "I" :-D.

I agree, if you have a s.15(1) at the top right of this same page, this is probably what it means - "In Progress"
Congrats, robsonmin!
By the way, folks... I've just received my GCMS notes. My file was apparently sent from Ottawa (Centralized Intake Office) to São Paulo early December 2016. I have Eligibility/Security as "Not started" and Criminality/Medicals as "Passed" (on the first pages).
1) To the ones who already got GCMS and PPR, can you please say how many notes away (and weeks, in your case) I am from PPR right now? The latest one, from CIO on December 4th 2016, says: "
REVIEW TYPE: Case Analyst APPLICATION: () REGULATION: PNP: FSW, 2016-11-10 I have verified this application under Section 11.2 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and make the following determination. RECOMMENDATION: ***Appears to meet requirements*** Ready to Finalize (...)".
2) I was nominated by a PNP (SK) stream and got into FSW/PNP. For the e-APR, I didn't send Schedule 4 since it wasn't asked on the system. However, there is a part on the GCMS notes (Incoming/Attachments) that shows the files transferred between/to/from CIO and São Paulo visa office. Everything there has "attachments: 1" and the status is "received", except for two items: "Kit, Application forms" and "Schedule 4 - Prov Nominees". For both ones, the status is "not started" and they have "attachments: 0". Does this mean that Schedule 4 or other documents will be requested? Even if my file is already with the local VO?
By the way, on EE system my BG is still equivalent to "Not needed at this time" ("not applicable"). It was never "in progress" (started as Not Started and then changed to Not Needed).
Thanks!
Hi DHvs,
It is very likely that your LVO might request for schedule 4.
In the gcms notes I have seen, Sinp actually confirmed nomination immediately via email. So I am not sure if schedule 4 will be needed.
You will find out soon enough.
I see you have ready to finalize. Did you pay rprf upfront?
I noticed people that paid rprf upfront always have ready to finalize written after appears to meet requirements, while those that have rprf outstanding only have appears to meet requirements.
Can you confirm this for me? Trying to figure out if my analysis is correct.
Also if you do not mind, can I know your application assignment due date?
I am also Trying to analysis this, that is why I am asking.

Due Date, under Application Assignment, is in the past: 13-Jan-2017. My GCMS has notes from 22-Feb.
Yep, I paid RPRF upfront.
What concerns me with the possibility of Schedule 4 being requested is that, in most cases I saw, it was CIO/Ottawa asking for it, in parallel/right after Medical Exams evaluation. Now my LVO has my file, so i wonder if Schedule 4 will be needed.

I am sure if your visa office Needs it, you will get a request from them.
Recently, someone from the Jan thread got it from London Visa office and got ppr few days later.

Hi
I submitted my FSW application in December 2014 and recently got my GCMS notes which show that eligibility and medicals are passed but shows security and criminal checks as 'not started'. The notes also show information have been shared with USA and status is 'NRT'. Is it possible that the security and criminal checks have been started or completed but still showing as not started?
Regards

It is very possible that your security checks are ongoing without them updating it to in process.
For criminal checks, this has got to do with your PCC. I guess they ask for new PCC from paper base applicants before they issue PPR? If so, only when you provide your pcc will criminality change to passed.
Your security is on going.

Okay thanks. For info to be shared with the US, I also believe the security checks are ongoing. Hopefully it won't take long.

My case Schedule 4 was requested 5 months after AOR. Also, the file was with local visa office at that time.
Though it took more than a month for PPR after Schedule 4 request, however, in the gcms notes i had ordered i get to see my file being approved within 2 weeks of sending the Schedule 4 document. After that it took nearly three weeks to get PPR.
Hi all,
currently i am in canada in visiting visa.I applied PR on aug 2016.can i apply for GCMS under privacy act? or my husband ,the sponsor is PR and can he request GCMS under privacy act ?
