Update for my parents: I got a reply from MANILIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca indicating that I can send my moms passport to Ottawa and my Dad passport to them (Manila Philippines)

- I send my Moms passport last Wednesday - August 15, 2018 and Ottawa received it today.
- My Dad will bring again his passport and documents to VFS Manila next Monday since they rejected his picture yesterday.

What is the specifications for pictures

For Applications from India, how long background check typically takes?

I'm so happy to hear that a lot of the applicants have been approved from Year 2016. Here is my timeline. Still waiting on decision, pre-arrival letter and passport submission:

Sent application - January 2016
Sponsorship Approval - March 2017
1st medical - March 2017
2nd medical - July 2017
3rd medical - October 2017

I am a little worried about the 3 medicals. Since the last submission, we haven't heard from CIC.
Here are my questions:
1. Is this a bad sign?
2. I have not been able to link my application and see status online.

If the doctor doesn't say anything, it should be fine. My dad had to do the 3rd medical exam. We were asked to resubmit Schedule A. Now waiting game again

yah, I did. It was a little tricky because of the city name. I had to put Ville St-Laurent, a sub city of Montreal.

On sept 9th, ECAS shows decision made. What is the next step and when I can expect a request to submit passport.
