Fyi for all those waiting for their status to change... I noticed this on the CIC website today: "The Client Application Status site is updated weekly, usually on Tuesdays."

@ kpalimeyovo our case was received on the 10/12/14 wen I check my status online.

It should show Decision Made for Sponsor and In Process for Applicant after 4 months (maybe) of Application Received. Once you're in Process then you'll get the PPR in a few days or hours (in my case)

Hey lamour, comment ca va? yes l received it 2 weeks after l submitted the application, I am just praying for Ghana office to get in touch before August because the waiting is killing

Hi all. Good day. I got confused when I was messing around on my ecas and found out that there's a change. Instead of the date my application was received,it changed to 9 September 2014. Before it was on 8 December 2014.currently it says 9 September 2014. Meanwhile my application was filed on 8 October 2014 and CIC. CPC -M received it on 9 October 2014. Due to some missing additional family background information,i was asked to send it. It was sent on 5 december 2014 and CPC-M received it on 8 december 2014 and got my file transferred on 24 February 2015. Should I get worried on this? Or should I call them on the phone? Thanks. Advice will be appreciated.

Dnt worry about that...whatever cic needs from u will be requested...the processing times should be within 9months say keep track on this months then u will want to contact then when it exceeds

Yeah. It is true that u don't need any job to qualify as a sponsor. However, if u read tru the sponsorship application form carefully, u will need to attach a letter showing how u will take care of urself and wife.
Now to answer ur question straight, u only need to send offer of ur employment even if it is dated same day. No need of salary proof. Don't bother about ur wages per hr too. Even the lowest salary in Canada can sponsor any spouse.
Getting a job offer only makes the application simple and more straight forward. I will advise u submit ur job offer no matter how recent. If u worked in Canada in 2014, u will also need the option C print out of ur notice of tax assessment.
