I still haven't received any communication from CIC yet on my spousal application ..

Can you guys advise me if I followed the correct procedure of sending all documents to CIC Mississauga? I am thinking about calling the IRCC Call Centre and inquiring.

My application was received by CIC on August 2nd

I believe it is a good idea to call and find out, your sponsor approval should be processed by now if they had received your application on August.

Have you tried to look for your application through here https://services3.cic.gc.ca ?
Your sponsor should be able to use his Unique Client Identifier to see whether the application was updated.

Feeling really worried.. I am planning to call the 1-888 Call Centre number

Has it taken this long to get the AOR for anyone?

Also I am the sponsor, and I dont have a UCI Number

You should have a UCI number
You can find it on your landing paper when you first came to Canada

I shall look for that.. I called Abu Dhabi Embassy today.. they asked me use the online web form in the IRCC website to contact CIC Mississauga..

I believe the CIC Hotline does not work outside Canada

Congratulations , they normally give until expiry of the medical or depending on the extended amount of time for your medical
What was your timeline please and how long it took background check .

Are you sure? Because I am concerned that they will give me a short notice to have to do my landing...
How much time do they give you usually to do your landing?

As for my background check, I would say about 9 months.
