Sure it does. There are two approvals in this process. The first is approval for the sponsor eligibility (SA - Sponsor Approval), and after SA, CIC will move on to process the PA's application, Eligibility and BGC, if everything works fine, then the second is for the PA's and the whole case, which short after (could be couple months) you will receive PPR.

Question guys. Life has happened and I will be resigning from my job (leaving mid March). I submitted my application few days ago. Do I need to inform CIC and if so how? I do not have any financial issues (Alhamdullilah). I do not have any other job lined up yet but I do have lots of savings. Please advise.
Just wanted to post an update. We had the interview at Canadian High Commission this morning and Alhumdulillah my wife was issued visa and COPR right away
Thank you so much for all your support here. I would be happy to provide a summary here and field any questions you may have after:
-- We had to reach at 11 am; we reached diplomatic enclave at 9am. Diplomatic enclave had 2 modes of shuttle; economy and executive. Economy had a long line so we didn't go into it (about 20 ppl in wait). Executive had like 2 people in line but costs Rs.1000/person. Essentially executive shuttle is a corolla that takes you to embassy; economy is a bus. Not sure how frequently they arrive.
-- Reached embassy from diplomatic enclave in about 10 mins. (9 30 we were at embassy), after which we were sat inside and waited till 11 15 to be called.
-- They ask for you to hand over all your supporting documents when you arrive so be prepared to sort and get them ready. I believe the immigration officer uses this time to get a gist before he faces the candidate. When my wife went in the room for interview he had all her docs spread across his table.
-- Short interview for about 15 mins. Only interviewed my wife; I was in the waiting area and they didn't call me.
-- Told her after interview that decision was made and that they were issuing visa immediately if she had a photo and to wait outside. We brought extra photos so we got the visa stamped on her pp and COPR in about another 30 mins.
And that's it! Finally done after 19 months of struggle!

Does anyone know how to put whatsapp chats into good format that shows emojis and everything? I tried putting it on the notepad but its all messed up.. thanx in advance. Also how much communication proof is enough to take on the interview? Do they keep it or just glance at it?
