Thank you so much! What will I need to bring with me for OHIP? and is it better to do it now or wait for the COPR?

It's better to do it now, there will be a 3-months period not covered, so it's better to start the clock on it as soon as possible. @profiler will be able to answer much better than me, but I would say that you need to bring the AIP letter along with a photo ID, plus something that will show he is residing in Ontario (lease or something like that). In Quebec, I could sign a form declaring that my wife was living with me, that served as a proof she was residing in Quebec.

Hiii everyone...can somebody please help me...my application was received on July 27 2016 I got my open work permit on nov 26 2016 after that I got a medical request and police clearence in April 2017 after that i didnt hear anything frim them it's been more than 2 months now since they have received my medical how long would they take more???

And I just wanted to pop in and give an update... Or a lack of... So we just found out that you can request into the status of the immigration screening file from CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) by sending them a request with a consent form that can be found on their website (https://www.csis-scrs.gc.ca/scrtscrnng/index-en.php#bm02). So today we just did that, and now will sit tightly waiting for "up to 8 weeks" to hear from them...

Nowadays you never know my friend. In one day you may receive DM and landing invitation or you might just wait. Tomorrow it`s gonna be 4 weeks since I had DM on ECAS for both sponsor and the applicant. Still waiting. Hard to tell. Also depends on your landing office. I am in Montreal so...busy place.

If you submitted documents about 2 months ago, you are now in the timeframe in which you should expect to hear from them. If the sponsor logs in, what does it show? https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

Do you guys know how long it´s taking at the moment to receive the open work permit after submitting the application?
Also, what´s up with the pictures? I thought you should include as many as possible and had a document of over 100 pages with over 200 pictures, each one explained individually. I was planning to send that with my application package but now I read there´s a limit of twenty, is this true?. How did you guys deal with the pictures and how did you organize your application package? I couldn´t find much info regarding this in the CIC website.

About 4 months for the work permit.
You should respect the limit they put, just make a selection that spreads over time and that are more significant.

Thanks for your response! Do you know if as with the pictures, there´s a limit to other documents as well? We were going to include letter that friends and family wrote us backing up our relationship, and I wonder if that would count for that limit.
