My application was received on May 9, 2016 by CIC and it seems that it's still in process.
Does anyone who applied on May, 2016 and still waiting...? I applied inland sponsor PR application and I am really concerned as I am not hearing anything from CIC yet..
I think you're hyper focused on a "task" from a form letter that is just a waste of time.
The form letter is not correct. Yes you need RPRF to land. Not to book an appointment. Additionally, fax and mail will take 30-60 days just to get added to your file. If it was true that they need it to book your appointment, you will be unnecessarily delaying your landing.
I'll mention one last time, and then I'll remain quiet -- don't. If you really feel the need that they know you paid before they book, call them. Their system generated that receipt -- don't you think the receipt number is enough? Turns out, in GCMS notes, I can prove it's more than enough... So, calling and passing a receipt number is the fastest way.
I've not been wrong with anything I have said to you. I am trying to save you from the potential delay.

I am a June 2016 applicant and all I have on my ecas now is decision made on sponsor side and also received the SA letter last month. Nothing on the applicant side still says application received and medical results received. However, the toll free line says medical passed, and background check in process. Still waiting for updates ......
I check so many times a day, it makes me so frustrated! it's taking so long! wish I had more patience lol
And you submitted the passport, ya? You'll be looking 30-60 days to the time that they received the passport ... but if I was a betting man -- and I have been accused of worse -- it's *likely* that AIP has already been issued. You might not have seen the message in your inbox, but valid: medical, passport, and security clearances are required when they seek to grant a PR. So, I'd almost put money on a silent AIP here (where for whatever reason you didn't get a notice).
Thanks for your reply! much appreciated. I really hope its a "silent" AIP. Playing the waiting game is too hard i just want it to be over with. No updates since ... so still waiting

July 7th they asked for medical and fingerprints. So an officer likely isn't going to pick the file up again until at least August 7th. So I would bet you might see something any time now.. from Tuesday to say a month from Tuesday. But I'd bet sooner.

I hope so! I will let you all know when I receive any updates. This forum has kept me sane these past few weeks, literally went through 637 pages so far and still reading through it
Hi, I'm new here, I'm a June applicant,do you guys think that CIC still take 26months for processing or how they wrote in the CIC site at the end of December 2017 most of our 2016 applications will be finalizing?

I am June 2016 as well. I have a lawyer in charge of my application and he did mention that hopefully by December, 2016 applications should be finalized. I do seem to notice, through this forum, that many 2016 applications are at least receiving SA, however, some (or even many) have even landed by now. But, there are also some 2015 applicants still waiting... let's hope we finish soon
