One thing I don't know is if you are living closer to an office that is in another province, does CIC invites you to the closest office... or the closest office in your province?
Edit: but, @f0rni on the DM letter that you will receive (maybe tonight!), you will know which office will later contact you for the landing.

I can't comment on that either. I think each office will have a catchment radius. It would be probably based on the series of postal's found in that catchment radius. Just a guess, but that's certainly how I would design the assignment sub-system...

@sylvain1 I just made something similar WRT filtering out naval positional anomalies when vessels are near ports... same case applies: You have GPS co-ords and need locate ports within a given radius. Funny, that was how my monday started, and now we talk about it tuesday afternoon
I bet @f0rni can send me GPS co-ords of the city they are in, and I bet I can use the same stuff I built to figure out which CIC office will get the landing
Ya, let's do that... profiler likes to play with neat things he built
My wife was landing in Montreal (which is also a busy office) and we had to wait 8 weeks for the landing appointment letter, and 2 more for the actual appointment. But it's just a matter of time now, so you can start to plan your party anyway!
Looks like my money is on CIC-Calgary. 289.88083194325 km radius. Vancouver is ~733. Surrey is ~702km.
@sylvain1 note: I did not math this. This was already done. All I needed to do, was mine the CIC office locations (co-ords) from google maps. Now I just repeat a query over and over
