Hi there good people. I'm new to this forum. We are June 2015 applicant. We received our AIP last October 2016, after that no news from IRCC. I just want to know if there's any June 2015 pending in the same boat as mine. My work permit is gonna expire on September and my lawyer wanted us to renew again for another set of fees. I have read that it takes 4mos to process the work permit extension at this time. Looking forward to landing in Etobicoke. Kindly advise. Please and thank you.
It's because the officer(s) looking at your file have yet to pick it up again. As I have stated in other posts about this, when you send a file to them, it will take about 60 days to hear anything back. They need time to attach the file, then it will take additional time to come back to your file to review what you sent. As you are still reasonably close to the 60 day time, I still contend that this is what is happening.
thanks profiler.
I think the officer who is looking at my file perhaps no more in this world.
too much time already took to give me decision.
I am April 1 applicant.
I think either office no more in this word or forget that he has something pending to work on.

From January to May of this year, CIC issued 123,000 PR's. I am sure they don't have that many employees (maybe a few hundred). So, assuming there is 1,000 case processing agents. That would mean that they each have cleared 123 cases in that time frame, each (average). Imagine if there was less?
That in mind, I know I sent 75 photos, plus loads of documents. Some even send chat logs, emails, call logs, skype logs, etc. So, I think a little more patience is needed (I know it's tough).
I have a really great news! Me and My Girlfriend are jumping and crying right now! Got a message in MyCIC... but still no update in ECAS.
Dear Ms Ivan28:
This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class. It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements.
I wonder if they will require another medical. Because her medical expired April this year.
Anyways, we will do it again if they asked. Gosh still can't believe it. We are almost there.

I haven't but will apply very soon (within a week). Just need to have an idea on how long until my wife can work since the OWP application will be submitted at the same time.
When does your OWP expire (or study permit, if that's how you acquired OHIP)? You need to update OHIP when you get COPR at your landing -- so if it's not expiring for the next couple months, I would just wait until landing day. Otherwise, ya you can show them that to get OHIP.
