That's actually a good "thing".

I was confused because on the header of the mail the date which is today marked differently (Month/day/year)

But @sylvain1 and I picked up on the date right away.... I'd prefer them to spend their time passing legislation that we need -- like reform to PGP and other failing programs at CIC. It's safe to say, that they wouldn't book that far in advance -- people would accept then forget...

But this is really Canadian to use both formats. I like to know the water temperature of a pool in Fahrenheit, but outside temperature in celcius... I know my height in feet and inches, and any construction material in feet as well, but distances in km.... my weight in pounds, but food in g or kg...

Though food I can deal with ounces or pounds too. Pounds is how they weight the steaks I buy #CafeProfiler

I can tell you it's 75*F or 24 (23.88888888888888888889)*C at home. Yes the 9 is significant .

We are also used to using different date formats, etc. In Quebec, they say something is 3.99$ Here, it's $3.99. We get both. Maybe it's an indoctrinated tolerance? Perhaps we were mentally trained to be this way by generations passed?

Even my dad, who is nearing 70 can use either metric or imperial.

Safe to assume that it's on December 7th and not July 12th?

I am with him on this. We take for granted a huge amount. It's actually something I believe should be celebrated. It might not be perfect, but it's one of the better places you could live....sans winter, obv
