Yes. If you do get your OWP before AIP, your employer can sign a letter that will permit you to get OHIP as well.

You can apply for OHIP if you only have AIP, or OWP + Work. Either case (or the combination) works.

I had my Landing today! It was so fast and easy! Immigration officer was really nice and made me feel welcomed to Canada! So happy
Updated my SIN and health and of course I took a picture next to Canada 150 sign
Still cant believe that I dont have anything to worry about anymore lol!
