April 2016 applicant here.
---Got request 2 weeks ago for fingerprints submission and we submitted electronic copy on friday and hopefully they receive hardcopy results today. But when i checked application status and its showing fingerprints not required in (biometric) column and in additional document request column it says check message below. In that message there is request for fingerprints.

They are a little clueless... What did the call centre rep tell you? It's very possible that if you already had SA, that you may have a DM...
I have in the back of my mind that they were going to do this.... I think this is "the purge" I told Sam about... I have a feeling that they queued up a bunch of cases to clear them out... otherwise they won't be continuing with the 13.5 mos which they have been running. This would mean they would miss their target of 12 mos in December..

It also says "We need additional documents to process your application. Check your messages below for details." So it seems to be a problem in the system, as, as you know, she landed already! Chamomile tea to calm your stress !
So, would that indicate that myCIC + the automated attendant are linked? Hmm.... Well, in this case, that is a big problem. If they did a systems update and DM'ed a bunch of cases that were incomplete, that's a serious problem.
This is where you contact your MP's office to complain about that. Because they shouldn't just take that from you. Might get landed early... #LaPurga
