My application was received on Jan 9th 2017. I was just wondering, should my application for my OWP show up in my online account? Right now I can only see my application for PR.

Guys my guess is that after yesterdays suspension of service of 4 hours at night they finally updated the system, now I see a full line beside every step of processing like eligibility, medical etc. Also I could not able to link my account to my OWP (separately sent to Vegreville) for a long time, but voila, like magic I could link it today showing it was approved. Now @Profiler: I have a question. I know you answered this much earlier but got completely erased from my brain. I am currently under study permit and have a temporary SIN no. With my OWP in hand, do I have to visit SIN office to get a new one? Or do I have to let my employer (currently research assistant at University) know of any change?

@roxanne1993: According to my experience it can take 2-3 month before it shows up. I sent it separately, could add it to my account only after it got approved

OWP allows you to work only. So if your study permit isn't valid, be mindful not to study. Visit the Service Canada and let them see your temporary SIN and OWP. They will make sure to extend the SINs validity (if need be). Otherwise, let the uni HR or your manager know you have a permit.

Thanks Profiler: My study permit is valid until 2018 June and I am gonna complete my PhD by the year end. In that case, do I just let my Boss know about it and that is it?

Yeah. You can also check your SIN paper to make sure it stays valid..

Thanks Profiler. Seeing movement in Jan, 2016 applications, I am hopeful of Late May applicants land soon, my best guess is June this year.

My husbands will be closer to 5 months. 4 months for us was march 4th; today he spoke with someone at cic and they said it would be another 2-3 weeks until he receives his owp.

How long will it take for them to acknowledge they received my application? I sent it 35ish days in Ottawa ago and have yet to hear anything back :S

Is there a number I can call? My partner JUST told me his email client deletes things in junk after 30 days, im terrified we missed an email!

Hello, I have sent my application Aug 2016 and never received anything from cic. You'd be one of those lucky who received AOR if you get one. Some even received aor2.

we have a stupid consultant I am the sponsor and my husband is the principAL applicant so anyways his lawyer forward this to me that dear so and so in order to continue to work on your permanent resident application we need a proof of relationship and I am like I gave them everything and lucky we been doing our taxes together last year and this year and I keep everything for us we getting some notarized letters from family and pics like we are almost there I can taste the finish line our journey started on December 25,2015 so that is why I saying waiting time is a killer bur make your realtionship stronger

guys so after waiting close to 5months now for my OWP , my rep got an email from CIC yesterday requesting copy of my passport to continue my application for OWP before 03/20/17.I dont knw if this information was not sent by my rep or it was misplaced by cic...just wondering now how long more i have to wait again after they receive this information...frustrated
