In our case, my wife passed the medical exam on December 21st, 2016. We got SA and AIP on March 20th, and DM on March 21st. So we got DM exactly 3 months after passing the medical exam. My guess is you will get news anytime soon.

If you have a DM, then you have to wait for an interview time. Sometimes Kitchener is fast, sometimes not... It's lower volume then MTL or Etobicoke, but can still take time.

So my sister has to renew her passport...can I just say Chinese consulate sucks????

They just give her a slip and said just check online when it's ready...not even an estimate on when it's ready

I just hope the officer in charge of her application is not annoyed because I sent an extension request through CSE, email and courier Their fault for not giving me some acknowledgement

Hate them... The emojis.. and yes noted the Chinese consulate sucks .

That said, no they get extension requests via CSE all the time. As long as you have a valid reason and provide proof that you tried to meet the timeline, they're very flexible...

as mentioned earlier, even with the increase in refugee intake, the spousal/common law sponsorship processing time are being cut in half...
