Sending best wishes to all prospective applicants. Hopefully we shall witness a movement of tsunami proportions this week on pending applications. We shall all crossover in due time. Keep up the positive energy guys, just a little while and we all will laugh and tell stories of our individual journeys.
Same to you. Thank you for the good vibes you're sending. I'm trying to be positive but sometimes its hard especially if there's no movement in the application it's more than 9 months now for us and haven't heard anything from CIC except the "glitched" they had in the system. So frustrating and unfortunately we can't do anything about it. Everything is all up to the officer who handle our application. Good luck to all of us.
This is what my journey looks like from memory lol. .
SA 26th July. . . DM. ecas
SA got email 27th July
PA 29 th July. . . DM. ecas
PA 4th August DM email
PA landing letter 8th August
Between the 29th to the 8th look like approximately 12 months
But I can smile now.
Will be smiling more on the 17th
Landing day

This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that
a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent
resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks
for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they
are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident . . . . .
until you and all your family members have met these requirements.
. even at this moment emails are coming

Hi, I just received the same letter from CIC and am not sure what this means and what my next steps need to be, if any. The last I heard from CIC was on July 25th saying "We are pleased to advice you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Etobicoke will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your PR application."
Am I to just wait for CIC to contact me to set up an interview or is there something I need to do about either of these letters. Any guidance will be appreciated. After the July 25th letter I was happy that I will be getting my PR soon but now I'm confused again about this whole process.

Etobicoke is a busy office. Some people get landing invitations within a week, and some at 8 weeks.
Patience, as the processing is complete email means DM and landing is the last step (then party, wait for PR Card to come, get a SIN and health insurance, etc).

Thank you! That helps. I was waiting until I got this email today and wasn't sure what to make of it. Glad to know I don't need to take any steps at this point and should wait for the interview invitation.
That being said, can you please tell me, if you know - what happens at these landing interviews and what documents should one take with them. Also, what's DM [I couldn't follow all the abbreviations involved in the PR application world].
