Thanks for all of your replies. I think i'm just going to hang tight and wait for the email for CIC as I've tried so many times to link online already.
It's already been almost 2 weeks so i'm hoping to get something soon!
Application was received in Mississauga signed by Mahmoud on September 19th! Reading that it took around 10 days for people to receive their AOR's to attempt to link their profiles.. keep me posted on your progress, everyone! My husband is applying from the United States.
Looks like our application will be delivered on Monday, can't wait to get word from CIC! In the meantime, I have a random question. I've been reading on here about "high risk countries" in regards to spousal sponsorship, I was curious as to which countries they are talking about? Is Central America, Guatemala more specifically, a "high risk" region?
I think they could be talking about countries from where the CIC detects the most fraudeulent number of cases..
Hence high risk for sponsorship cases.. for such countries there is longer nd extremely careful srutiny to confirm hw genuine the relationship is maybe... thats my guess
If u can tell us the context in which the term is being used, maybe we can guess better.

What are the chances of getting visitor visa ?
Like a lawyer said that it might make them think that you are trying to enter the country and making it fishy

its not like that .. so many couples are together on TRV. Its just that you have to prove your ties so that they know you will return on your expiration of visa.
Chances depends on your documents you are submitting

I have no idea if I belong to the August or to the September group.
I'm Canadian. My wife is Moroccan. We've been living for the past decade in Morocco.
Package delivered on August 22nd. CIC started processing on September 16. AOR1 was received on September 17th. I was able to link our application through GC account. But there isn't much to see except that my wife passed the medical tests.
