is there anyone here who can neither check status on ecas nor link to mycic? i got my aor1 last week with F appln number but i can't check any status. i am barely starting with the arduous process and m already frustrated. Does the medical have to be passed status to show up on ecas or mycic?

Have u created GCkey yet? u will need that in order to be able to access ur MYCIC..

Also my ECAS was not accessible till a week after sponsor approval! Hang in there.. ecas is darn slow :/

Actually my husband (the principal applicant) received the AOR today in his email, but it was addressed to me. It's the strangest thing. But at least we got it!

I read somewhere that ECAS is updated every Tuesday.. Not sure how true this is though!! Haha

AmyR and caro thanks. i was just able to link to mycic first time. i was entering my details by mistake and not the sponsored. ECAS still not working.

So once we link to mycic we do not get any more emails from cic including SA approval etc?

No you should still get email. But emails are sometimes unreliable.. But at least now you can follow your app online!

I don't sent in the PR application a MEdical Exam and the Police Criminal check, because I'm not consider necessary for now and I got my AOR1 anyway, so now I'm waiting for my SA approval, 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I wouldn't worry too much about getting the email, some people never get it, haha! But since your number changed to a F000, that is technically your AOR

I keep imagining how crazy we'd be going now if I hadn't finally gotten it to link last weekend.

Hey u must hav used an email id for Mycic.. so noe whenever anything changes in ur mycic u will get an email stating that an update has been made.. so then u will log on to mycic and see the new change.

Thanks but i already have my Uci number and Gc key from my last visa application and now i am trying to link this family sponsorship to the same account

From what I understand if you have a representative you won't be able to link, but when you try it pops up a message that indicates that, it should still indicate an application could be found.

Have you tried linking using the Family Name/Given Name/Date of Birth option? I was able to link doing this before I even received AOR, but it took me a while to actually get the right combination of info. I ended up linking mine with 1 as the number of people on the application instead of what it should have been.
