Long time ago... I think it took like 45 days to get here.

Thanks a ton! As a side note, I recommend getting the dates corrected tho.
After you complete the landing, follow the instructions in this post to get the dates corrected.
Mine were off by over a year, so whenever it comes to calculating my pension or maybe citizenship
I want the correct dates on file, so I applied to get the dates changed.

Hi Toby, Hope you are still active on this forum. How long did it take you to get the dates corrected on COPR? Did you do it after receiving the PR card or before it? I checked the link and we are required to send the original COPR or landing document along with the amendment form. So till it gets amended one cannot travel out of country. Am I correct?

I just received my COPR and passport. Original entry date was incorrect by 2 years and last entry date was incorrect by few months. I am planning to land with this document and would like to get the date corrected after that.

Yes I am a Sept applicant. CIC always gave the reason as background checks for the delay.

How did you know that the delay is due to background checks? Did you send across a case specific inquiry?

Also by background check you mean the Criminality or the Security check?

I had sent a case specific enquiry and CIC replied saying background checks going on. They didn't mention the details. They gave the same response when the MP's office enquired.

You have to send a photocopy of COPR along with original application for amendment form and supporting documents.

Thanks for the reply. I just received an appointment for landing at CIC office. So hopefully I don't need to go through the amendment process.

You are lucky CIC gave me no reason for my delay and asked me to be patient!
