cabmanottawa. on the first page of your RQ did you notice that we require your documents from to date to when you applied, to determind your residency obligation.
i would say put all your documents from the date you became a permenant residence, to the date you applied for your citizenship application.. on the first page of RQ letter, they have filled the date. please check that out.

- We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 18, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
- We started processing your application on January 12, 2013.

RQ received in August 2013 and response submitted on 5th Sept 2013.

CIT 0521 notice to prepare for test dated 23rd Dec 2013 received from st. Clair office in Jan 2014.

Waiting on test date. Any timelines please share.

So, I got a test date!

2012-10-25: Application sent to CPC-Sydney
2012-10-29: Application delivered to CPC-Sydney as per FedEx
2012-12-10: Status changed to "Received" in eCAS
2012-12-24: Letter (dated December 5th) and study guide received
2013-02-22: Application in process as per eCAS
2013-08-23: RQ letter received (Dated August 16th)
2013-09-27: RQ delivered to Scarborough office
2014-01-06: Received "notice to prepare for citizenship exam" from St. Clair CIC, dated Dec. 20th.
2014-01-15: Received "notice to appear - to write citizenship test and for verification of identity/documents" on Jan. 28th from St. Clair CIC, dated Jan. 14th.

Test date almost exactly 4 months after the RQ was delivered to CIC Scarborough. That just begs the question whether they've processed it already or not.

I have tried to call to CIC to inquire about the status, 50 calls and nobody home...every time i make a call, all the agents are busy, it is so frustrating, cic is total waste hire some good people who really wanted work.

CIC has a lot of good people who do want to work. But their workforce was slashed dramatically since 2012. The issue is funding, budget and political leadership, not individuals shirking their work.
