When I first applied, I also had my passport and my stamps translated. I sent the original. It is safer that way and it will be in theirs records so they will not need another one unless time passes by and they need to verify new stamps on your passport.
Hello, I am new to this forum- here is my timeline, please let me know your thoughts.
Appl. Recd- Jan 27, 2014
Started processing appl- Mar 13, 2014
RQ recd- May 12, 2014
RQ replied- June 10, 2014
Letter to appear of Test Recd- July 25, 2014
Test Date- Aug 15, 2014 @ Scarborough
Test passed- Was told file will be transferred to St. Clair office for further processing.
No official response since then. Called CIC call center few times. Fortunately, at one time agent told me I am short of days for reqd. for number of physical days presence. (As per my calculation I was above 1150 days). Apparently, the problem is my frequent US visits- all for business purposes. I work for Canadian company (regular full time employee) who requires me to travel across the border very very often. There is nothing I can do about it. I sent my T4s, Tax documents, NOA, letters from employers saying they send me to the US for business, property tax documents, boarding passes etc. while submitting my RQ as a proof of my permanent residence here in Canada.
But there is no official response from their side. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Atip is the only way you can get information on the status of your file, if you request for the same now you will get it after exactly 30- 31 days, the Atip will show the status of your file on the day the Atip was requested not the status on the day Atip was received.
Does anyone know how long does Mississauga office take to schedule an oath?
I just got off the phone with the CIC. A nice officer told me that my file was returned to the Mississauga office. I am assuming this means St. Claire office has completed my RQ review. I am also assuming (fingers crossed) that oath is the next step, under yet another hopeful assumption that the decision was positive.
Here is my timeline:
Application received & AOR sent - March 3, 2014.
CIC started processing the application - April 10, 2014.
RQ - June 24, 2014
RQ sent to the CIC - July 31, 2014
Test Notice - August 6, 2014
Test written - August 23, 2014 in Scarborough
Does anyone have a similar timeline or similar processing office of Mississauga? My application bounced around three offices.
