Hi all,
I was eagerly waiting for the draw which never took place today. I was expecting an invitaion( CRS 490). Next week my work permit will expire, and I will enter the 90 day grace period. I am going to apply for a visitor visa this week.
my question is ,
Can i stay in canada while that 90 day grace period and get an ITA ? will it be refused by IRCC since im here illegally (technically?) . i will still have my visitor visa application in progress while i will get my ITA in next draw.
I could visit the USA while they process my application in worst case scenario.

Yes, last year's 413 cut off and Trump in America has made Canada a very hot destination. So everybody is running towards it.

Yes, it would be nice indeed and there is nothing wrong with wishes. For example, I would wish that Canada wouldn't penalize accompanying spouse that much and add points for spouse's international work experience. But I have to respect and abide despite that it is not the case.

I had ITA in 03.26 with CRS 451, cutoff 446, I was lucky because previous draw was higher than 451. But I’m an international student with Canadian degree and work experience. It gave me extra 30 points even though my IELTS had to be 8/9 to even get to 451. It’s super hard

Today's draw has helped remove 200 candidates from the pool who would have been eligible for receiving ITA if the draw had happened next Wednesday. Only the PNP draw had an impact as the majority of the FST folks would anyways have lower CRS scores.

I am predicting CRS 439 cut off if the next draw happens on Jun 6th with 3500 ITAs.

I am also, and more for you than for me (I'm waiting at 460, so...)

But it's kinda of heart breaking to see you waiting and cheering and they skip a draw. =/

What I think is that within 3 weeks the CRS would touch 441-440 again ! With no draw today and expecting at least a draw next week we have basically a competition of 1400-1500 added! I guess these 1400-1500 would be cleared with in 3-4 draws and score would touch 440 resulting in a 3 week draw again!! @abhishek_89 what you think bro? Moreover if draw size increases to 3750 then expect 439 by the 4th draw from now!

I tend to disagree with that. They don't charge a cent until one receives ITA and submits an application, which is fair in my opinion.

Are you implying that CIC should charge us for making express entry profile and issuing ITA ? That would be plain ridiculous.
