I dropped my application on nov 28, received file number email on jan 15 and they asked additional info on feb 13.... M still waiting for nomination.... It is taking time.... Somebody in the forum who just received the nomination, had submitted file on Nov 15....
how long does it usually take for nomination to come out? if u have ur file number does it mean youll be nominated or it could be denied as well? thanks in advance

i applied on 14th nov 2013 and still waiting for my nomination. my work permit ex :'(pired on 5th feb 2014. my question is, even if i receive nomination now, will it be of any use as i am out of status now. will i be able to apply for work permit and federal pr ? please reply.

U should have applied the bridging work permit to cic before it expired.... Even now u hve to apply. As per my knowledge, ainp may ask u for new work permit before issuing the nomination.... Go to cic.gc.ca website and apply for bridging work permit or just google bridging work permit, u will get more info abt tht

BOWP, you can apply only after applying to CIC. You can apply after getting file number from CIC. You may apply without file number BOWP by explaining your situation if you already sent your file to CIC and you are waiting for file number.
You can not apply BOWP, if you are stil waiting for nomination.

i have not applied for any extension as i was not having lmo. but all i want to know is if it is still worth waiting for nomination as i am out of status now. i am still having 60 days grace period for restoration of status. will i be able to apply to cic for federal pr after getting nomination? anybody in the same situation. please help.
