How long does CIC give you to submit medical paper once you get the medical call during PR Processing?
30 days starting from the request date
boharj said:
can i do my medical outside of Canada even if I applied PR inside Canada ?
Yes you can. In each country (almost) CIC has selected doctors and clinics to perform the test.

Hi All,
Usually how long does it take to get the medical request after AOR?
It does depend on the visa office and it can go from 1 to 10 months if not more.

I really depends on the visa office. I applied in June, AoR in October, second AoR in December (first time i know this happens) and have not received medical request yet. I try to focus else where and not think too much of this waiting, but cant help notice express entry candidates come after us and get PR much quicker. I am glad for all but this path started for me since 2011 and im not in canada yet....this delay is frustrating.

Hi All,
I need some advice if there's someone who experienced similar.
My friend has a work permit as a cook, but his background is IT (Software).
Cook was his part time job and hobby in his country and he found a job in restaurant as a cook since it was easier to find here in Quebec.
Now he has the CSQ so he applied to several IT companies as a S/W developer and received a job offer. He really wants to take it for many reasons. (money, life/work balance and so on)
Would that be a problem for immigration if he changed his job from cook to S/W developer?
He just has to go to border with the employment offer number in order to get a permit but a bit hesitant since he's not so sure if there would be any bad affect for his PR application. He just submitted the application Jan 2017 and they charged credit card in Sydney last week in Feburary.
Please help my friend, any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I experienced the same problem last night, tried until I exhausted my maximum attempts in the 24 hr period. So I wont be able to try again until tomorrow.
Can you please tell me what is your visa office? Did you ever try contacting CIC regarding your application?

My visa office is now port of Spain in trinidad, before it was Sydney and moved much quicker. I only contacted CIC tonight after seeing this problème occur for a few days also to ask about my medical request, so i will update if and when they respond.

Having a job offer speeds up your application so he should take it and inform CIC of the offer. In my opinion the changing of professions does not Matter after the CSQ. The federal is concerned with health and security. In any case, when he had submitted the initial application for the csq he would have listed all full time and part time experience to gain points....so unless he lied, it should already be reflected in his AoT.

Okay. My Visa Office is Port of Spain (POS) Trinidad also. I just received AOR so am at the very beginning. I thought POS visa was faster, from what I have seen on this forum and in posts relating to the POS office, most persons within the QSW category received PPR 6-8 months after their file was transferred, medicals had an average of 3 months after transfer.
You can check out posts under 'http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/port-of-spain-office-trinidad-and-tobago-t42874.0.html;msg423644#msg423644
and others relating to the visa office.
This experience has been very long and frustrating, I started in 2013 so I can only imagine for you who was before me. Hoping you will receive very favorable results before month ending.

Great news! I just tried again a few mins ago though but received the same error message, my email also said try within 7 days. This is day 2 so will try again later tonight. When completing the form how many persons did you list as part of the application? I ask because some persons have said in previous posts that it didnt work when they listed all within the application, and worked when they selected '1', just wondering..
Also, what is your VO?
Thanks much.
