Hey guys and fellow experts! I hope you're all doing well.

I'm from the United States and I've been in Quebec (Montreal) for over 2 years now on a "Visitor Visa" (each 6 months I was applying to stay another 6 month with my boyfriend). The first year was great, but the second year we've dealt with a lot of struggles. My boyfriend is losing hope and he's been dealing with a lot with his family and his mother currently fighting for her life. We love each other, We're planing on getting married, but not under these circumstances, we don't really want to use the marriage card as a tool for me to get a free pass here in Canada.

For other reasons he's not eligible to sponsor me (he lost his job a few months ago...like I've mentioned he's been through a lot within a year).

I can fully support myself, but I want to be a resident permanent and I just don't know what to do.

I got a business online, I only speak English and I won't mind studying or work here if that's what it takes.

I have a medical background, but finding a job in the medical field when you only speak English, let's say that it's quite a pain in the ass.

I just don't know who to contact, who to trust, where to start and what I should do - I'm overwhelmed, stressed and lost. I'm crying at nights praying for someone to help me out.

Please PM me or reply to me here if you have any ideas or solutions.

I'm not special, and I know a lot of people here are looking for answers. I will be so grateful if someone could at least give me some hope. I love this country, I love my boyfriend & his family - I don't want to lose them.

hi guys! with regards to filling up my federal application also under QSW. in the Generic application form, they do not ask for the middle name. i would like to ask if there is / or there are portions that middle name is asked? i am confuse if i will be putting my middle name beside my given name. thanks for the reply.

Received intention to refuse letter. It doesn't say which additional documents I need to send. Just give information about administrative review. I got 46points instead of 49. Since my CSQ application (Nov 2015) I now have a job offer. Do I need to get a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) certificate or just sending job offer is fine?

Dear seniors,

i applied for Quebec Certificate in 2012 as single applicant, recieved intent to reject letter in July 2015, after that i send required documents to MIDI in sep 2015. On March 2016 i recieved intent to refusal letter where it was narrated that i have 45 points out of total 49 points. Last year ,i got married and inform MIDI about changes but i didnt add my wife in my application in order to avoid more processing time.

in march 2016, God blessed me with baby child after intent to refusal letter. To cover shortfall from 49 points, i send birth certificate along with refusal letter but forget to send Picture & relavant form of addition alongwith. Due to this, they didnt consider birth certificate of baby child and send me refusal decision last month.

Reason stated

** candidate has not provided the documentation form for submission to the
LUFA demand for certificate of selection of quebec (a-1520-af) and has not provided the additional documents required for adding child on file, the certificate of birth don has not been taken into consideration***


i wanted to ask,

1) if i file an apeal for administrative review, should i dispatched birth certificate alongwith pic,application form to MIDI to tell them where the mistake occurred.
2) Is there any fee for administrative review?

3) will they consider 4 points of baby child to cope this 4 points shortfall from 49(single applicant)

They did not ask for any additional documents but mentioned that I can apply for administrative review. I am free to send any additional information to support my application. Application send Nov 2015, AOR Jan 2015, Intention to reject: June 2016, Intention to refuse July 2016.

I called quebec regarding my file and they said they have started processing my application this year 2016...i applied since dec 2013... what does this mean...anyone with similar experience?
