Proof of Citizenship timeline

I'm applying for citizenship through descent and am applying from North Carolina. I feel like it shouldn't take 15 months. Maybe if I applied a year earlier when things were more shut down because of Covid it would take 15 months. Something doesn't feel right. Maybe they misplaced my application.

check on ecas with your son UCI or application number, it will say to which address it was sent to ... but normally if you sent it for your son within canada it will be sent to you, otherwise if your wife send the application through a consulate overseas, it will be sent to that consulate and your wife will have to pick it up, but log into ecas it will show where it was sent to

tried to track ecas but does not showing me in ecas status.. said not found .. i do not know why ?? gckey is working but not ecas.. no idea why

Did anyone receive their certificate and how long did it take for you to receive it after the approval? My son's application was approved on 2/11 and not sure when it will be delivered.

mine was approved on 2/4 but they haven’t mailed it yet

Try ECAS with new last name which you wantedto change. tried with new last name and it worked

Finally received the certificate today for my daughter for an application with the decision made on 02/11.

My application is showing the status as 'Decision Made". What does this mean? Can this mean that they have rejected it or there can be more questions?

If it is that they approved, then how long does it take to get the certificate?

Below is my timeline:

1. We received your application for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship) on October 5, 2020.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 2, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on February 16, 2022.

As a US Citizen and not much travel planned to Canada, I may delay applying for the passport.

IF all is good your application is approved and you should get the certificate in 2 to 3 weeks after that update. My application status changed to a decision made on 2/11 and I got the certificate delivered to my US Address on 3/2.

Just know that dual US/Canadian citizens have to enter Canada using their Canadian passport if travelling by air. If you go to Canada by land, then you can use the US passport.

As a US Citizen and not much travel planned to Canada, I may delay applying for the passport.
