First Documenta received and then status update with decision made, you application is approved. I applied for e certificate. Please let me know what time the certificate will be available.

RRegards

Hi @sentraj
Did you apply for the Canadian Citizenship Certificate under 'Urgent Processing'? If so, assuming there's still no update yet, I'm not quite sure why yours is taking longer processing time.
If I was in your shoes, I would reach out to CIC and request them to expedite my case citing the medical situation and the urgency required. This should get some response from CIC usually in about one week's time.
I'm assuming that when you applied for your citizenship certificate for urgent processing, you did, indeed, provide a good explanation letter describing the situation and citing why the application should be processed urgently, and provided them with documentary evidences to support your case for expedited (urgent) processing.
Please also bear in mind the potential impact of ongoing Canada Post strike in case they may have sent you some correspondence which might still be in the transit. But if you're following your application's progress online, this should not make much difference, thought I should mention this just in case.
So constantly chasing your application with CIC seems like the way forward for you. Hopefully this helps and apologies for the delayed reply.

I am interested in knowing about the timeline (processing time) for "Proof of Canadian Citizenship (Certificate)....
I am a Canadian Citizen living in USA and I applied for the proof of Canadian Citizenship (i.e. the Citizenship Certificate) for my son born in India:
Mailed paper application 12/8/2024 delivered to CPC, Sydney on 1/15/2025 (Delivery was delayed due to Canada Post strike).
Took 7-8 months for me. I’m also living in the US and child was born in the US.

My papers are returned for the following reason, "The child's photograph is not to specifications, The child's photograph have not been stamped and dated by the photographer". Can someone please suggest in New York, USA where should I get the picture done. E.
arlier I took picture at the CVS
