Hi guys
just wanted to share our time line

1.We received your application for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship) on December 4, 2019.

2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 2, 2020.

3.We started processing your application on February 23, 2021.

4.We sent your citizenship certificate on April 14, 2021

Got the proof in the mail on Monday so overall it took
19 month from the day we applied

So the key thing here is: Don't lose your passport because the worst case scenario is: You wait 12-15 months before realizing your certificate might've been lost in the mail, send in another application to replace the lost certificate, wait 15 months for that, so that's at least 2.5 years before you can travel again...not that anyone is itching to travel right now, but emergencies happen!

Still waiting for AOR. Sent my application 10 October 20, received in NS on 14 October 20, have heard absolutely nothing since.

Submitted mid April 2020.
Packet received May 27th, 2020
Processing: May 10, 2021

Doesn't matter anymore unless my twins want to live in Canada one day, as we left Canada for the USA (their birth country) on May 9th, 2021 due to lack of documentation and inability to receive any services (basically illegal immigrants)

I just saw that the proceeding times have been updated to 15 months. Seems a bit more accurate than the 5 months that had been posted.

Does anyone know how long it will take to get the replacement if I submit the solemn declaration form? If I submit the form, is it mean that i need to wait another year again? Does anyone face this situation?
