Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

received an e mail from VO. asking for more docs. it says " before i make a final decision, please provide .........
so what is this final decision means? My gc notes showing still doing eligibility check. very confused.

This happened to a friend of mine recently. 2016 Feb applicant, they didn't hear anything till December 2017. In Dec 2017 they got an email saying please provide xxxxx documents before a final decision is made. They submitted the documents and they got passport request on Wednesday this week.

So nothing to worry, your processing is almost finished I think.

What type of docs did u have to provide if u don’t mind me asking ? And good luck maybe that’s ur last step before they approve u

When do they send invitation to pre arrival info session ?

no prob. i have to submit my 2017 T4, Notice of assesment 2016, last Paystubs , bank statements What type of work my husband plan to do when he come to Canada?

It’s strange they have to ask that when people on welfare even sponsor their spouses...

No way ...That’s awesome ..took u 6 months. I’m a July 2017 applicant still waiting for prearrival invitation for my husband and decision to be made. What did you do to speed up the process ?

It took me less than 5 months. I didn't do anything to speed up the process. I just gave them more docs to support our relationship.
