online applications seemed to be processed faster than paper if you check the processing times.

You should definitely try that. I got my permit approved only after 4 days since i contact the MP

Hi i Went to local MP office but they said they can't help me to fasten by application as others are in the queue too.

November 2015 applicants (on-line work permit restoration) are still waiting for their application to be processed.
Sometimes the processing procedure is confusing, anyway congratulations!

If your application is past the processing time and you still have not recieved a decision you should really try your MP, I went today and they took down my name and birth date and placed a phone call and were able to tell me to wait two more weeks and I should get it soon. Just make sure you dealing with the person at your MPs office that handles immigration issues.

Can anybody please help me with the processing time of restoration of status with working permit? I submitted my application online on 23rd October 2012, up till this moment my application haven't been processed. Is it the same processing time as applying for a working permit or does it take longer when I apply for a restoration of status?

Please I need your replies cuz am so frustrated now, been out of work for months now. Thanks

Work permit takes about 4 months+ up to 16 weeks for restoration.The files are transferred to a different office for restoration.

My MP told me to wait 2 weeks too. But actually, my permit got approved only after 3 days the MP contacted CIC.

When you say three days after do you mean you got your work permit in the mail 3 days after or you mean when you checked the approval date on the application it was three days after the MP called?

You can call to set up an appointment and also email them too.

I emailed them my issue then I followed up with a phone call and set an appointment up for the following day and when I went in I explained it to her and she called while I was there
