PROCESSING TIME FOR RESTORATION OF STATUS/WORK PERMIT

hey guys , good news!!! I got my restoration of status as a visitor approved last friday and will now go on to apply for my study permit for my masters. my application was delivered jan 18th!

Great news to start the week.

I know right.Im also waiting for my work permit extension with same employer I submitted mine last Feb 16 then they recieved it Feb 19. Hopefully ill get mine next month

I got my restoration and extension of work permit today. Paper application same employer applied on Feb 8.

Hi,

I've just found this forum while waiting for my application (SOWP).

Here's my timeline (In Canada - Online application - Quebec applicants)

Applied on 10 May
Approved on 31 May (I received 2 notifications by email for updates and new message from CIC)
Papers received by mail already (within the same week )

Therefore, the waiting time was 22 days for my case. I'm really surprised since I thought the whole restoration process would take 3 months.

I included in my application all the required documents as much as possible and a detailed explanation letter to clarify my situation with justifications.

Hii I have question..when they restore ur status. .for how long they issue work permit. Like do they deduct processing time or they issue wp for remaining months from day of approval.

Same processing time as applying work permit again. Like 3-4 months.

its actually depends on the validity of your passport, but 2 years validity of WP is the maximum even if your passport is valid for more than 2 years

Hi guys, i have submitted my application for restoration online on october 28th, 2015. I just received the notification that it was approved, still waiting for the paper. Hang in there november applicants , you are next. Cheers
