i just got lucky to have my WP/Restoration processed in less than 4 months. my application was received on Jan 5 and approved on April 15. I applied by paper.

My SP restoration application got approved today.(Applied on Mar 31st). I want to share that you can try to ask help from your local MP. Be polite, calm. And if your situation is really urgent, they will help you.

I am waiting for my status to be restored as a visitor actually because I did not get my letter of acceptance in time and needed to restore my status and I sent my application since January and have not heard anything back and school starts in september and I need to apply for my study permit. Very nerve wrecking.

Yeah but my issue is , its going on four months and i need the restoration before I can apply for my study permit which will also take about 8 weeks to be processed and with all this delay I am scared I will not get my study permit in time , to start school on time.
I have an appointment with the MP office tomorrow, so I am hoping they can possibly help me some how

I just wanted to share my experience. I applied for Work Permit Restoration Status, I previously applied for BOWP, but it was denied as my Express Entry application was yet to be reviewed.
Timeline:
1) Restoration Status Document Submission via Online: April 15th 2016
2) Request for Missing Fees - April 30th 2016
3) Approval: May 3rd 2016
