Applied for restoration on Sept 24 (File was received by CIC on Sept 24)
Called last week and they said my file was sent to another department (I guess because it's a restoration and not just a normal application) on Dec 5th. This office has up to 16 weeks to process the application. Seems like some people have gotten it in less that that time.

That's the plan. So worrying though because they can't give any more information. I have a few job interviews lined up and can only hope the permit works out and I don't have to turn down any offers.
Called cic last friday and agent said my application was approved but still on my cic account final decision not started and statua still open, anyone with same experienced?
So I called today and found out that my permit (restoration) was approved on Feb 5th and it's been mailed to me.
I had applied for the restoration by mail on Sept 24 (that's the date they received it).
Approved on Feb 5th. That's 134 days including weekends and holidays.
Unfortunately I had been prompted for my PNP in the meantime and had applied, and the case officer said my PNP might be rejected because I had applied when I was 'out of status'. It didn't matter to him that me work permit had gone through. He'll finalize that tomorrow. But anyway, now you guys have an updated timeline on restorations. Good luck.
