What should I write to IRCC with expired passport why i am not sending them renewed passport?

My passport was already expired by the time I was submitting my application back in April 2021. I submitted the photocopy that way and up to this day, nobody has asked me for passport. They know they have it and they also know it’s expired and that you can’t renew it. I will advise you send photocopies of what you have. Do not become desperate and make unnecessary mistakes.

I agree with @gayrefugee. Put narration you are protected person you can not renew your passport, and forward them expired one.

Just one thing disturbing me every one knows renewel of passport considered as reavailment which can be even cancellation of PR, so why immigration officer asked me such thing? also he said if I wont provide the same he will take his decision based on papers in file which can lead to rejection as well

You don't have to worry, just write according to your actual situation! After all, the immigration officer handling the case does not know that your passport has expired! It's all robots now!

You don't have to worry, just write according to your actual situation! After all, the immigration officer handling the case does not know that your passport has expired! It's all robots now!

The real question to ask you is, did you include your passport (expired or not) in your application for permanent residence. If you did not, please send them a photocopy of what you have. Simple!

I don’t think it’s an oversight. Methinks he did not supply any copy of his passport in his application. How would the officer prove he’s a citizen of where claims he is.

As I remember I attached copies of Passports for all of us if i did not they only asked copies of me and my spouse not for my Kids. Anyways I agreed with @Simba112 and @gayrefugee to send them what I have now without renewal plus my Travel Document.

Yes, you don't need to keep renewing your passport, just send them the expired one, ircc knows the situation! The documents required by each immigration program are different
