Sorry, this might be a dumb question. When you get your PPR request, the CHC asks you to submit a self addressed envelope amongst other things. Does this have to be a stamped self addressed envelope or do they pay for postage? And if the CHC does pay for postage, is this any special type of delivery or just regular mail?
It would help if you stated what visa office you are applying through, that way folks with experience from that office can help.
I know that here in Jamaica they have recently begun using courier services to return passports (thank God, no more trips to Kingston for applicants to pick up passports! it's about damn time!) and the applicants are required to pay the fees to the courier service and bring the airway bill with them to the embassy.
Thanks Charlie. I am applying at the London CHC if that helps.
So in Jamaica at least, if I understand you, the Canadian Embassy use a courier service to return passports and you pay the courier service when they deliver the passport to you?

Hi there,
This is an exerpt from the CHC webiste in London. How are passports returned once an application has been processed?
Passports are returned by recorded delivery in the self-addressed envelope you included with your application. This means that someone at the recipient's address must sign to acknowledge that they have received the package.
